The most helpful first-visit questions are simple ones. Here are eight to take with you, plus the health details worth sharing even if they seem unrelated.
A first acupuncture appointment goes more smoothly when you arrive with a few questions ready. They do not need to be clever or technical. At the Freshwater clinic, the plainest questions often lead to the most useful answers.

Dr Christine Shen, Acupuncturist, takes a health history, but some information is easy to forget. Mention it anyway rather than deciding for yourself that it does not matter:

A useful treatment discussion gives you enough detail to make an informed choice. It should be honest about possible side effects without pretending that complications can never happen. If an answer is unclear, it is perfectly reasonable to ask Christine to explain it differently.
Think about the problem and the change you would like as two separate things. You might hope to sit through a work meeting more comfortably, understand your symptom better or find out whether a referral makes sense. Agreeing on that goal early makes later reviews more meaningful.
Print or screenshot these questions before heading to the Freshwater clinic on the Northern Beaches; Christine is happy to work through them one by one at your first appointment.
